Thank you to all of the worthy applicants for your time, effort and commitment to the O&N.
The announcement of the Editor-in-Chief of O&N Open will be made in mid-November.

The American Otological Society and the American Neurotology Society are pleased to announce the launch of Otology & Neurotology Open, a companion open access journal to the Society’s flagship journal Otology & Neurotology (O&N).  As the demand for open access continues to increase, the Societies have determined that a companion open access journal will best meet the needs of authors, physicians and scientists, funders, and institutions.

The Otology & Neurotology Open (O&N Open) Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for providing a strong editorial vision, recruiting and overseeing a diverse Editorial Board, establishing manuscript acceptance standards for authoritative, innovative, and top-quality research, attracting authors interested in publishing in the open access environment, and working closely with the Editor-in-Chief of Otology & Neurotology.

Qualified candidates will possess strong leadership qualities, intellectual vision, organizational abilities, and experience relevant to editing an open access journal.  Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be adept at using technology and actively maintain a wide network of professional contacts.

We invite applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief of O&N Open, for a 5-year term beginning January 2021, with a “ramp-up period” in November and December 2020.
