NEUROTOLOGY BOOTCAMP
Established in 2018, the ANS Neurotology Bootcamp is an annual educational and surgical training program designed specifically for incoming neurotology fellows. The course brings together newly matched fellows from across the country for an immersive learning experience led by early-career faculty members of the American Neurotology Society. The Bootcamp is designed to help ease the transition into fellowship through a combination of pre-course virtual education, interactive faculty panels, case-based discussions, and hands-on cadaveric dissection. The program provides concentrated instruction in neurotologic and lateral skull base surgery while giving fellows the opportunity to learn directly from ANS faculty in a collaborative, small-group setting. Just as important, the Bootcamp provides incoming fellows with an opportunity to meet their new colleagues, develop relationships with faculty mentors, and build the professional connections and camaraderie that will continue throughout fellowship and their careers in neurotology. Since its inception, the Neurotology Bootcamp has become a highly anticipated ANS program, combining surgical education, mentorship, and fellowship in a unique learning environment.
